TMPAD (Themed Manager Per App Downscale) uses Android's Game Mode APIs to apply per-app resolution scaling, letting games run at a fraction of their native pixel count. At 0.5x scaling on a 1920×1080 display, the game renders at 960×540 — 1/4 the pixel count — cutting GPU load dramatically and eliminating frame drops without touching game files.
Core features:
Per-app downscale ratio via Game Mode API
FPS cap control per app for battery/thermal management
Selectable graphics backend per app (OpenGL ES, Skia+Vulkan)
Experimental OEM Game Mode parameters (device/ROM dependent)
Global downscale — override system display resolution and DPI, including custom aspect ratios
Live FPS overlay for any app
TMPAD does not modify, hook, or inject into game processes. It interfaces exclusively with Android's native Game Mode APIs — same mechanism used by OEM game spaces. Not a GFX tool. No ban risk.
Requirements: Android 13 minimum, Android 14+ recommended. Shizuku or root access is required for Game Mode API permissions. Global Downscale works as a fallback on incompatible ROMs.
